Government Funded ADHD assistance
UK Access to Work Grant Options
If neurodiversity makes your professional life challenging, the UK government’s Access to Work initiative provides vital financial support for tailored ADHD coaching. As a provider, I work with individuals to refine focus, sharpen organisation, and build lasting confidence. The most significant advantage is that this scheme often covers 100% of the costs, allowing you to access premium professional support without financial strain. It is a transformative path for those who are employed or self-employed and need a more neuro-inclusive way to work.
What is Access to Work?
Access to Work is a specialized government grant designed to help individuals with health conditions or disabilities thrive in the workplace. ADHD is a recognized condition under this scheme, meaning you can secure funding for practical adjustments like ADHD coaching, specialized tech, or support workers. Unlike a loan, this grant never needs to be repaid and has no impact on your other benefits. It is simply a tool to level the playing field, ensuring you have the specific resources required to excel in your current or future career.
Applying Criteria
- Be 16 years of age or older
- Live and work within England, Scotland or Wales
- Feel you have ADHD or another condition that affects your work
- Are employed, self-employed or starting work soon
Benefits of Executive Coaching
ADHD coaching is about building systems that actually work for your brain. Together we can work on prioritising without feeling overwhelmed, following through on tasks, managing procrastination, planning your workload, time blindness, emotional regulation, reducing workplace burnout, communication and boundaries, and building routines that work.
How Does it Work?
The process involves five key steps.
1. Apply via the official site.
2. Consult with an advisor about your specific needs.
3. Receive your official award letter for funding.
4. Select a coach who you feel comfortable with.
5. Finally, we can start our sessions together funded by your grant.
How do I apply?
Starting your application is simple and requires only basic information.
You will need your contact details, National Insurance number, workplace address and details on how ADHD impacts your daily productivity.
You also need a company contact if you are currently employed. Applications can be completed fairly quickly online or via telephone through the gov.uk portal.
